2 billion Automatons are between you and a new Helldivers 2 Stratagem

Take the fight to the Automatons in Helldivers 2 right now, and you’ll be rewarded with a new Stratagem, but it won’t be an easy battle on PS5.

There’s no such thing as ‘too many weapons’ in Helldivers 2. Arrowhead Games Studios is eager to keep our arsenals primed for battle on PS5, and the latest Helldivers 2 Major Order is sending us back to defeat Super Earth’s toughest enemy. Get the band together and throw back your cape to the wind, because two billion Automatons need to be dispatched.

Despite Helldivers 2’s recent PSN account linking blunder, Arrowhead’s co-op game is still an absolute blast to play. The fun (and pain) continues with the new Major Order, which is all about dominating Automatons forces on their own turf. According to Arrowhead, PS5 players need to slay so many Automatons so they can be “melted down and reconstructed” into the new Anti-Tank Mine Stratagem.

Once again, Arrowhead needs billions of its deadliest enemies dispatched quickly.. At the time of writing, only 0.37% of the Automatons have been slain across the galaxy, according to this handy galactic tracker. However, knowing how tenacious this multiplayer game’s community can be, then I’m personally sure it’ll be completed within the next 48 hours – if not sooner.

Arrowhead has experimented with Anti-Tank weaponry before, giving us the EAT-17 Expendable Anti-Tank launcher to cut down armored forces. While it isn’t quite as satisfying as the trusty RL-112 Recoilless Rifle in my eyes, it’s still a useful piece of kit to consider equipping. I’m more of a Quasar Canon user, purely just for the ability to one-shot Automaton troop carriers. Now that’s interstellar bliss.

There’s also a new Helldivers 2 Warbond live in-game now too, meaning you can outfit yourself with some of the freshest additions to the game yet. It’s worth purchasing alone for the Motivational Shocks booster, which can stop you being slowed by acid attacks, especially if you’re destroying all manner of Terminid foes.
