Helldivers 2 players clearly don’t care about saving Choohe

Helldivers 2's new Major Order will let PS5 players unlock one of two new Stratagems, and there's already a clear winner rising up.

We can’t find Choohe anywhere in Helldivers 2, or at least it seems that way as PS5 players leave the planet to a grim fate. The galactic battlefields are ablaze right now in Arrowhead’s excellent shooter, and that’s largely down to the latest Helldivers 2 Major Order that’s live right now. With a choice between two useful Stratagems to unlock, it’s very evident that players just want to do one thing: blow stuff up.

After the ultra-fast slaying of 2 billion Terminids, the latest Helldivers 2 Major Order is giving PS5 players the chance to either unlock the MD-17 Anti-Tank Mines or the RL-77 Airburst Rocket Launcher. The final result depends on what planet is successfully liberated first, with the MD-17 Anti-Tank Mines locked to saving Choohe, and the RL-77 Airburst Rocket Launcher locked to saving Penta. Both Stratagems would be neat additions to Arrowhead’s co-op game, but one look at the Major Order’s progress indicates that Penta is approaching a swift liberation.

Presently, there is approximately 18-hours left until players save Penta from annihilation, according to this nifty Helldivers 2 galactic battle tracker. Choohe, on the other hand, is basically hopeless as efforts to save it are virtually non-existent. With the addition of the recent Democratic Detonation Warbond, you may have thought that players have probably had their fill of new explosive weaponry for the time being. Now, it is all-but-confirmed that we’ll have the RL-77 Airburst Rocket Launcher available soon.

If the weapon seems familiar, then that’s because it was revealed in previous leaks of the multiplayer game’s unreleased content. Similar to the RL-12 Recoilless Rifle, this latest addition to your arsenal scatters multiple explosions upon impact. It could be a worthwhile tool against hordes of Terminids, and tougher enemies like Automaton Hulks. We’re still preparing for the arrival of the Illuminate, too, a sinister faction from the first Helldivers game.

While fresh weaponry is cool, what we’re hoping to see from Arrowhead is vehicles in Helldivers 2. They do exist, we’ve seen them, and we need them right now. Roaming each planet with a vehicle akin to Halo’s Warthog would be ace, and could be the ultimate way to rally your squad together – because that’s what liberty is all about. Speaking of Xbox players, recent rumors claim that “early discussions” are underway to bring Helldivers 2 to Xbox Series X|S consoles in the near future.
